Congressman Nathan Moran Visit

Congressman Nathan Moran Visit to our New Boston area was a very informative event. It was hosted by the New Boston SIDC/CDC with Lee Elliott as the host.

Congressman Moran spoke to a nice gathering of local officials and area businessman. He started off explaining how things are doing in Washington with explanations on tariff issues, Medicare, Medicaid, various bills, taxes and outcomes of them. Much of his informative narrative was extremely spot-on and wasted no words!

After his presentation he open the floor to questions and did a great job keeping us all informed of how things work. As in any negotiation, there is a give and take. He explained how things sometimes have to work to get the outcome needed. Certain things cannot be changed by law. He also explained that sometimes a compromise will actually help achieve the result everyone wanted, without breaking the law.

We can be very proud of the fact that our Congressman Moran is on the House Ways and Means Committee. That's an incredibly important committee with many bills and issues being discussed and bills written through that committee. He was very informative with his answers and wasn't afraid to speak the truth about an issue or how it can or can't be handled.

We are lucky to have him representing our area!
